What are Refrigerator Error Codes?

Before jumping right into the matter, we have to know what exactly these error codes are? A refrigerator is a composition of various smaller pieces of machinery such as compressor, condenser coils, expansion device, power fluctuator and a bunch of sensors. All of these pieces are interconnected to form what we know as a refrigerator.

To ensure that each segment of a refrigerator is working properly, manufacturers have equipped the entire inner section of the refrigerator with a string of sensors that detects malfunctioning or under-performance from any section. For example, if your refrigerator is not regulating voltage properly, it will start showing a specific error code that alerts you of the situation. Mostly self-treatable, the malfunctioning within your refrigerators can be fixed by following the guidelines provided by the manufacturer.

However, if the situation is critical, then you need to contact the service technicians to take a look. This can be in case of physical repair or even change of machinery. These refrigerator error codes are briefly mentioned in the hand-guides which are provided by the manufacturer at the time of purchasing. But most often, we shrug those thick booklets as soon as our refrigerators start operating.

To make things simpler, we have listed the most popular refrigerator error codes from each brand so that you can identify them and resolve these issues based on their severity.
